Program Overview
Sherwood Adventure LLC uses text messaging (SMS) to keep participants informed about tournament activities and to provide customer service support. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these terms.
Message Types
We send text messages for the following purposes only:
- Tournament scheduling updates and reminders
- Match results and bracket notifications
- Event logistics and day-of information
- Customer service responses to your inquiries
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. All communications are operational, transactional, or customer service related.
Consent
By providing your mobile phone number to Sherwood Adventure LLC and opting in to our text message program, you consent to receive text messages for the purposes described above. You are not required to consent as a condition of participating in any Sherwood Adventure event.
Data Rates & Carrier Charges
⚠ Message and data rates may apply. Sherwood Adventure LLC does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier may apply charges depending on your service plan. Please check with your carrier to understand any applicable fees. We are not responsible for charges you incur from your carrier.
Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out at any time using any of these methods:
- Reply STOP to any text message from us
- Contact us and request removal
- Request opt-out in person during tournament registration or check-in
Upon receiving your opt-out request, we will promptly remove your number from our list. You will receive one confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out. Opting out of text messages does not affect your tournament participation.
Legal Compliance
Sherwood Adventure LLC’s text message program complies with:
- TCPA — Telephone Consumer Protection Act (federal)
- CTIA Messaging Principles & Best Practices — industry guidelines for SMS
- Arizona HB 2312 — requires prior consent for automated communications
- Arizona HB 2498 — extends the Do-Not-Call Registry to text messaging
We do not send text messages to numbers listed on the National or Arizona Do-Not-Call Registries unless an exception applies (such as an existing business relationship for transactional messages).
Disclaimer
Our text message service is provided “as is.” While we strive for reliable delivery, we cannot guarantee messages will be delivered due to factors beyond our control including carrier network issues, phone compatibility, signal strength, and message filtering.
Changes to This Policy
Sherwood Adventure LLC reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Current policy is always available at this page. Continued participation in our text message program after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
